Gordon Brown is the President of Flexi-StiX, LLLC. and the creator of the Body Bar Flex™ (www.bodybar.com).

Gordon has more than 30 years experience in market and application development of fiber reinforced plastic materials, working with companies such as Owens-Corning, Hexcel and Strongwell.

He is a retired Captain in the US Navy, having served over 26 years in the Naval Reserve Intelligence field.

Today, he is a consultant to the reinforced plastics industry specializing in ‘new product development’ and president of his company, Flexi-StiX, LLC, of Anderson, South Carolina. Flexi-StiX develops flexible exercise technology, equipment and methods of using this equipment.

Gordon currently holds over 20 US and foreign patents covering a broad spectrum of applications from improved ballistic vests for our troops, energy return composite ‘wave’ inserts for athletic shoe soles, and methods of using the Body Bar Flex™ for abdominal strengthening (US Patent 7,112,166). Body Bar Systems, Inc. of Boulder, CO has licensed Gordon’s technology for the manufacture and sale of the Body Bar Flex (patent pending).

Body Bar Systems celebrates 2007 as its 20th year in the business of marketing innovative fitness products and education.

Gordon was born in Greenville, South Carolina and holds a BS degree in Mathematics from UNC at Charlotte and a MS degree in Management from Clemson University. He attended the US Naval Academy with the Class of 1968.

What exactly is the Body Bar Flex™?

Is the Body Bar Flex™ different from Body Bar System’s classic Body Bar?

There is more than one Body Bar Flex. To clarify for our listeners, please describe the four (4) Body Bar Flex products?

I know there are many exercises that a person can do with the Body Bar Flex, but basically, how does it work?

What is so different about this product? What needs does it fill that other products can’t?

How and why did you come up with the idea for Body Bar Flex and how did you develop the finished product?

I know there are many benefits of using the Body Bar Flex, but what is one (1) benefit that your feel is most important for a potential customer to know?

It’s my understanding that you’ve also been helping children use the Body Bar Flex. Describe some of the efforts that have been taken in this area.

What about people who are very fit? Is the Body Bar Flex useful for them?

What does the Body Bar Flex offer to the Baby Boomer generation?

Can golfers use the Body Bar Flex for stretching and upper body strengthening?

Can the Body Bar Flex be used effectively by those that are physically challenged?

You say that the use of the Body Bar Flex combines Isotonic and Isometric exercise. Explain.
