Since launching his career in the fitness industry in 1992, Ben Midgley, senior director of Corporate Sales for 24 Hour Fitness (www.24hourfitness.com), has developed a passion for corporate wellness.
He strongly believes the key to helping people reverse or control easily preventable diseases is maintaining ongoing partnerships between fitness clubs and employers and insurers.
A recognized expert in the area of corporate wellness programming and corporate sales, Midgley was appointed by the California Joint Assembly in 2002 as one of only 12 members on its Task Force on Youth Fitness and Workplace Wellness. He joined the Governor, congressmen and non-profit organizations in their efforts to address the growing concern of rising healthcare costs in California. The Task Force was successful in implementing several initiatives, including banning soda and junk food in the state’s schools; developing the California Fit Business kit to help employers encourage healthy eating and physical activity in their workers; and initiating the California Fit Business Award to recognize employers that promote a healthier workplace.
Ben and his father Dale are authors of the Golden Circle Secrets, a former #1 Sales Management and Customer Service book on Amazon.com; where they show management and the sales team how to achieve consistent success in sales. Based on a unique new strategy that responds to customer values and expectations, the Midgleys reveal how sales and management are inseparable components of sales success that must work in tandem to produce consistent results for an organization.
