Julie answered the following questions:

What is the Aquatic Exercise Association?

How many members does AEA currently have?

What are the benefits of membership with AEA that I don’t already have with other organizations?

How many people have been certified with AEA?

What is the need for becoming certified in water exercise if someone is certified already with land-based organizations for group-exercise and or personal training? Isn’t this just one more expense?

If someone already teach group exercise so can’t they just apply the same principles in the pool?

For a fitness professional, what is the benefit of adding water as training modality – for self and for clients/students?

A fitness club does not have a pool, so what is the need to expand their options?

Isn’t water exercise for seniors, therapy and less-conditioned individuals?

How can the water become a high-intensity training format?

Is resistance equipment available for training in the pool?

Where can one take educational courses specific to the water or participate in an aquatic certification?

Do the AEA courses provide CECs for the certifications that individuals currently hold in group exercise and personal training?

What is the benefit of the International Aquatic Fitness Conference (IAFC) as compared to a weekend event or a home study course?

Are all the programs at IAFC water- specific? After all, if someone still needs to enhance their training in other areas and only have so much funding for education each year?
