David Dinerman is the Executive Director of the Fitness Industry Suppliers Association (www.fisana.org).
David’s career spans more than twenty five years of management, including marketing, sales and operations in sports, event and lifestyle marketing, fitness, health care, and the trade show/conference industry.
As a consultant he has been retained for strategic and tactical marketing projects. David has worked with Cybex Int’l, Fitness Management Magazine, Road Runner Sports, Jenny Craig, Proctor & Gamble, Kazmaier Associates (the holding company for Bike & the Eagle Sports Group), Imprinted Products (an Olympic licensee), Second Sole (a retailer of sports footwear and apparel), Senior Tour Players (golf and resort property developers), International Business Communications, John Hancock and The Travelers.
As Senior Director at IDEA, Inc. he managed the corporate marketing department, creating and managing partnerships and event sponsorships with manufacturing companies and suppliers to the fitness industry including Nike, Reebok, Quaker Oats, Coca Cola, Cybex Int’l and Life Fitness. he also managed publishing and advertising sales, general membership sales and service
In addition David has worked for the Marriott Corporation; The United States Military Academy, where he added some life and profits into their athletic promotion efforts; the Baltimore Orioles where he developed the Washington, D.C. market through corporate partnerships, retail promotions, and expanded media communications & contracts which set the stage for the team’s transition from a small to large market franchise.
Additional projects have included handling communications for the Traveler’s ‘NFL Man of the Year’ campaign, Olympic Marketing (John Hancock) and establishing team dealer programs for Second Sole.
His ongoing commitment to community leadership and involvement includes coaching youth sports, primarily baseball. David also serves as a Director for Tranquility Farm, an organization that provides rehabilitation and adoption services to retired thoroughbred racehorses.
David has an undergraduate degree The American University (Washington, D.C.), and a graduate degree in Sports Marketing is from Ohio University (Athens, Ohio).
